Dorit Levinstein's sculptures unfold from a single continuous line — figures, animals, flowers and objects that stretch and balance in space with a dancer's lightness. Each twirling form is painted by hand in vivid color, building rhythmic patterns that repeat like variations on a well-loved tune.

Trained as a painter, Levinstein came to sculpture at the age of 32 — and never stopped painting. Her bronzes and aluminum works carry both disciplines at once, and her practice to date spans three periods: classical bronze, stone and mixed media, and her current art of colorful linear figures.

Levinstein's works are held in private collections around the world and exhibited in fine art galleries. She creates commissioned works for indoor and outdoor settings, and her monumental sculptures grace the landscapes of many municipalities.
